Celebrating two years of no art!

Mon Jan 5, 2009, 5:15 PM
Happy new year! Another year's come and my gallery remains empty of true art. Woo!

Aaaaaand now to break that trend. My scanner's finally up and running and if it continues to work I can start posting stuff here. Don't expect any amazing pieces or anything, but hey, practice makes perfect. Let's see where this site gets me.

Also, STILL MORE JOURNAL QUIZZES, thanks to :icontrista-katagata:! Go to urbandictionary.com, search for the answers to the following questions and post the first definition.

1.) Your name: Alexander.

The name for a true gentleman.

[Why of course! *tips hat*]

2.) Your age: 16.

Legal age for fucking in the UK.

[Shit, and here I am in the states. So close...]

3.) What you should be doing: Homework.

Homework: (Noun) a punishment given to students by evil teachers after the students have already put in 7 hours of hard labor.

[Honestly, who didn't see this one coming?]

4.) Favorite color: Red.

Flavor of Kool-Aid to a black person.

[Ahahahah. As obvious as that one was too, it still got a chuckle out of me. Didn't see it coming.]

5.) Birthplace: Sayville.

A wealthy town full of rich white kids. It was named in '93 the nicest town in the U.S. It is also a Joak.

[Sounds about right...but what the hell is a Joak?]

6.) Month of your birth: February

February is the best month of the year. It's still nice and cold and snowy, but you know that spring is just around the corner if you're tired of all the bad weather. February is also the most unique month. 28 days long,(unless its every four years on a 'leap' year).
Valentine's Day is also in February (the fourteenth). It's a fun holiday named after St. Valentine, and it's for cute happy couples. Many single or unhappy people celebrate the anti-Valentines Day, ie. Singles awareness day.

People born in February are without a doubt the Cutest, Smartest, and Funniest set of people. If you are born after the 20th, you are also a PICES. This is the best Zodiac sign.

[I'm likin' this definition. =D I'm actually an Aquarius, but CLOSE ENOUGH.]

7.) Last person you talked to: Younger sister.

Girls who hang around a fraternity in hopes of finding a boyfriend/husband. Usually they find neither but end up geting fucked by numeroius members of the fraternity.

[...Uh...Let's just try "sister."]

Your sister is the girl that will always be there for you and may save you one day, whether you know it or not. Your sister may or may not be related to you and could just be an amazing friend, but either way your sister is always slow to judge and quick to forgive. She will always love you, she might just hide it from you.

[Much better. ^o ^]

8.) One of your nicknames: Alex.

A universally well-recognized unisexual name.

[Eh, boring.]

-Sunshine

A cute affectionate word use to show enderment toward a significant other. If you are someones sunshine it means, you make their world brighter!!

[Which is weird because my teacher and most of my guy friends call me that...]

-Rock

Used to defeat scissors in a game.

[Fuck scissors.]

Then you tag three people but I'm lazy.

  • Mood: Annoyed
  • Listening to: The television.
  • Reading: Does video game text count?
  • Watching: Comedy Central.
  • Playing: Luminous Arc 2. (Fuck you, Josie.)
  • Eating: Nothing. I hunger.
  • Drinking: Nothing. I thirst.

ROCK

I just remembered Chrono Trigger has a place called Medina Village. They clearly named it after you.

"You know, it always surprises me to look at Leo's comics. He acts the most normal [...], and is the most polite and friendly.

Then you read his comics and you figure out he's batshit insane. It's like two people are in that head of his."

Or the Islamic city in the middle east.

I like your theory better though.

Wow, thanks for all the many comments you left on my deviations! Wish I could reply them all back to you, but I don't wanna bore you with all the same "Thanks" over and over, so I thought commenting on your page is good enough. Thanks much again, child! =)
:iconajchimp:
You're quite welcome! You draw exceptionally well. I just need adjectives other then "nice," "well done" and "excellent" in front of the adverb "very" to describe them. Hell, I figured /I/ bored /you/ with the same comments over and over again. .- .

Great artwork either way!

Thanks again for the faves :D And that was quite a good critique, m'boy. Most people hardly ever are any help when I ask what's wrong with a picture.

It was my pleasure. And I always feel being completely honest is much more of a help than sugarcoating it. You'll never get better that way.

That is so true! Sometimes another person's eye can identify a problem where you just have a vague feeling of "something wrong." But many people will be like, "Oh crap, if I tell them the hand looks like an octopus they'll hate me," and never tell you what's wrong. XD

If the hand looks like an octopus in the first place, I'm pretty sure the artist has worse problems then his/her choice of friends. Like Parkinson's.
